Back in May, GoodMatch teamed up with seven (7) Austin, Texas-based nonprofits to celebrate the launch of our App. At GoodMatch, we believe in the power of community-driven nonprofits and their ability to create lasting grassroots change. Over the next few weeks, we will be re-introducing you to the nonprofits that serve our city with integrity and forward-thinking!
Let’s Kick off with The Andy Roddick Foundation!
Andy Roddick Foundation (ARF) “creates high-quality programs; equip, inspire and invest outside the classroom; and foster a community of families supporting families.” ARF invests time and money outside of the classroom on specialized programs that help grow a stronger community of families helping other families. Here, it’s believed that all young people should have access to the opportunities they deserve to thrive, build confidence, and achieve their ultimate goals!
The Andy Roddick Foundation has already had an immense impact on thousands of families across the community, with a whopping 79,000 young people being affected over the two decades; ARF has been in the community. ARF offers award-winning programs that span the entire year; including,
1: The Summer Learning Program (Video Link); which targets learning loss over summer, weight gain; and helps build resilient youth.
2:The Afterschool Programs that work to bring leisure activities to schools to get kids interested in different hobbies.
3:The Spring Break Camp (Video Link); offers overnight stays to build social and emotional learning skills, self-confidence, and self-awareness in children and works towards creating happier, more resilient community members.
The Andy Roddick Foundation is tirelessly working to create better opportunities for the youth of Austin, but they can not do it alone! ARF welcomes any volunteers or donations with extreme gratitude, and any amount of time or dollars donated creates opportunities for students to thrive, build confidence, and achieve their ultimate goals!
